YOUTH LEADER


Sebastian Garcia is an East View High School Class of 2017 graduate. His career aspirations are to become a high school Art teacher.

He has been an active community service advocate since the age of 5 years old when he participated in his very first Martin Luther King Day of Service and who has

been involved as:


  • Youth of the Year for the local Boys & Girls Club for years 2015 and 2016;
  • Boys and Girls Club Banquet Master of Ceremonies (2 years in a row);
  • Fundraiser responsible for raising through grant competitions over $60,000 for this club;
  • Student announcer for sporting events;
  • ASAP (After School Action Program) Instructor to middle school aged participating students;
  • Childcare provider for SEGCC workshop events and parent support group meetings;
  • Volunteer for local community-wide events such as health fairs; AIDS fundraising runs.
